Bill Belichick Casts Massive Shadow | NFL Content Roundup
The Six-Time Super Bowl-Winning Head Coach Has Sights Set on Three NFC East Jobs
NFL Draft week has arrived.
You know what that means … Bill Belichick takes center stage?
Yup, that’s how this week played out, as a thoroughly reported ESPN story featuring contributions from worldwide leader heavyweights Seth Wickersham, Don Van Natta, and Jeremy Fowler offered in-depth insight on Belichick’s mutual split with the New England Patriots as well as the fact that he has confided to people close to him he’d love to coach the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, or Philadelphia Eagles.
Given massive pressure on Brian Daboll, Mike McCarthy and Nick Sirianni, the Belichick storyline along the I-95 corridor and deep in the heart of Texas figures to play a supporting role in the upcoming season.

Each weekend, this post will serve as a clearinghouse for all of the NFL headlines I’m proudest of from the week that was, both that you might have missed thanks to this era of fractured social media algorithms and to serve as a refresher leading into the week ahead.
Howie Roseman Called Bill Belichick … Here’s Why Eagles Didn’t Hire Him
After the Eagles’ second-half collapse from a perch atop the NFC to ultimately losing in the Wild Card round, on the road, to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Wickersham and Van Natta report that Roseman made a phone call to “check-in” on Belichick after the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach and the New England Patriots parted ways back in January. Cowboys Urged to Add Offensive Tackle NFL Scouts Say ‘Has a Lot to Work With’
Dallas lost stalwart All-Pro Tyron Smith to the New York Jets, and Tyler Biadasz will line up against the Cowboys twice each season as Washington’s starting center.

Eagles Sign DeVonta Smith to One Of NFL’s Highest-Paying WR Deals
The Eagles, and Roseman, have certainly made splashes in free agency so far this offseason, but perhaps more importantly, Philadelphia has made a strong commitment to retaining homegrown talent.
Smith’s extension is just the latest long-term pact signed by players that Roseman and the Eagles drafted who have developed into cornerstone players to the franchise’s success. READ MORE at Heavy.com
Arizona Cardinals Linked to Explosive Receiver in Eye-Opening Blockbuster Trade Proposal
The Arizona Cardinals could look to build one of the league’s most explosive wide receiving corps around Kyler Murray in two fell swoops during the NFL Draft, potentially even as part of a blockbuster trade with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Packers Predicted to Land ‘No. 1 Cornerback’ with ‘Twitch and Explosiveness’
The Green Packers have built a young and exciting offense around emerging quarterback Jordan Love and now might aim to replicate that playbook on defense.

New York Giants GM Addresses Quarterback Speculation Ahead of NFL Draft
The New York Giants have done due diligence on each of the top four quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft, but it doesn’t sound like it’s a foregone conclusion that Daniel Jones’ replacement will be the team’s selection with the No. 6 overall pick.
Jones, working his way back from a torn ACL suffered in Week 9 of the 2023 season, told reporters earlier this week that he believes he is the Giants’ best option for the upcoming season, and it doesn’t sound like Schoen feels any added urgency to replace him. READ MORE
