Wide Receivers Take Center Stage On the Eve of NFL Free Agency
Get ready, because the moves across the NFL are about to start happening at a torrid pace.
While much of the heavy lifting of the negotiations ahead of free agency was done in the smoke-filled cigar bars and over top-shelf Scotch poured at Prime 47 during the NFL Combine, the wink-wink, nod-nod “legal tampering” period begins Monday with free agency beginning, officially, on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Pro Football Focus points out that Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith posted a 99 passer rating when targeting Metcalf, who finished the season with a 14.3 yards depth of target, while only dropping three passes?
Who wouldn’t want to make Metcalf their top-of-the-depth-chart receiver? One NFL Executive suggests there’s a perfect quarterback-receiver marriage out there waiting for Metcalf.
